This year, Read Write Now has forged a valuable partnership with Outcare, a service provider dedicated to offering justice, reintegration, and support services. Outcare's mission is to help individuals positively engage with the community and navigate the justice system in Western Australia.
Recognizing the need for enhanced literacy and numeracy support among their clients, Outcare collaborated with Read Write Now to provide specialized training for their staff members. These workers frequently interact with clients whose needs extend beyond the expertise of our volunteer tutors.
As part of this collaboration, seven support workers from Outcare participated in the Read Write Now tutor training program. This comprehensive training covered essential topics such as reading, spelling, writing, lesson planning, and adult learning principles. By equipping these workers with the necessary skills and knowledge, we have significantly expanded our capacity to support individuals in need.
This partnership has not only strengthened our ability to deliver effective literacy and numeracy support but also reinforced our commitment to making a positive impact in the community. Together, we are better positioned to help more people achieve their educational goals and improve their lives.
